The Coronavirus pandemic once again placed health at the center of political agendas. However, the International Dimensions of Health and its daily expression in Latin American subnational spheres are invisible (Róvere, 1992). This work first intends to frame International Health and the Industrial and Financial Medical Complex in historical terms (Herández, 2019: Iriart, 2008). Secondly, to confront the conceptions of international health against that of global health, while describing the concepts of philanthrocapitalism, territory, Health as an International Issue and the International Dimensions of Health (Róvere, 1992). Next will be analyzed academic publications with different perspectives on the barriers to access to health, stating the main characteristics that support them. Finally, it will seek to problematize and make visible the categories previously exposed at the local-territorial level, inquiring about the access barriers that derive from them.
